Paul Williamson
True Legacy Homes, CEO
Paul Williamson is CEO of True Legacy Homes, America’s premiere Property Transition Service company. Prior to True Legacy, Paul was the founder of True Craft Residential, a boutique developer of luxury single family and multifamily properties in the Western US. While at True Craft he developed numerous multifamily projects, including the highly successful SanTan Village, a 382-unit luxury apartment community in Gilbert, AZ. Prior to True Craft, he was Vice President of Finance for JPI Companies. At JPI, Paul managed over $600MM in multifamily real estate debt and equity investments. Prior to JPI, he was a member of the investment teams at Archstone-Smith and BRE Properties where he was involved in over $500MM in multifamily development and acquisitions. Paul is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BA Summa Cum Laude and an MBA from University of California, Irvine.

Rocky Derrick
Taylor Derrick Capital, CEO
Rocky Derrick launched Taylor Derrick Capital (TDC), a Salt Lake City, Utah-based real estate debt and equity firm, with Mark Taylor in 2011. Since that time Mr. Derrick has led the origination of over $2.3B in loans. He has been instrumental in raising over $600MM of capital into TDC’s various funds. Mr. Derrick continues to lead TDC with the principles of honesty, integrity, and transparency on which the firm was founded. Together with his partners and experienced management team, Mr. Derrick oversees all aspects of TDC’s operations with debt and equity investment offerings. Mr. Derrick takes an active role in overseeing the underwriting, loan portfolio, investor relations and finance departments. Mr. Derrick is committed to creating and fostering long-standing relationships with borrowers, development partners and investors. Mr. Derrick’s leadership of TDC leverages his wide-ranging experience in underwriting, distressed asset resolution, investment, and development of multiple commercial and residential asset types. Prior to forming TDC, Mr. Derrick co-founded Probus Group, a real estate consulting firm that advised multiple REITs, equity funds, lenders, developers, and institutional asset managers. Projects included underwriting, analysis, and workout strategies on over $1.5B in assets and loans. Mr. Derrick also worked as the Senior Vice President of Loan Origination & Asset Management for CM Capital Services in Las Vegas, Nevada during the real estate recession, managing the workouts and repositioning of over $600MM in distressed loans. Preceding that, Mr. Derrick gained vast experience as the Vice President of Acquisitions & Development for Seegmiller Partners where he managed the development of over $100MM in commercial real estate projects in Las Vegas, Nevada and Newport Beach, California. Mr. Derrick started his real estate career working for Ivory Homes in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mr. Derrick holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah, where he is currently an adjunct professor in the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program.

Wendy Pickering
Evergreen Management Group, President
As a Partner and President at EMG, Mrs. Pickering oversees all aspects of property management company working closely with regional managers, owners, investors, vendors, and our entire corporate team. Mrs. Pickering joined the EMG team in 2012 and has worked in the property management industry for more than 24 years. Wendy started her career in market rate communities and has worked for both national and local property management companies. Bringing a wealth of knowledge from a diverse management portfolio including affordable housing communities, commercial properties, and mixed-use communities that range from stabilized properties, lease-ups, rehabs, and renovation of both unit interiors and common areas. Mrs. Pickering also holds a Principal Broker Real Estate License in Utah and Qualifying Broker License in the state of New Mexico.

Matthew Hess

Matthew is a native of Farmington, Utah and was admitted to practice law in Utah in 1993. He is admitted in all state and federal courts in Utah, and the U.S. Tax Court. Matthew holds bachelors and law degrees from the University of Utah, where he was a member of the Utah Law Review, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University. Prior to joining Blackburn & Stoll, Matthew practiced law at another Salt Lake law firm for 18 years. Prior to that, he also worked as an attorney for Sallie Mae in Washington, D.C., and as a senior tax associate for KPMG in Washington D.C. and Deloitte & Touche in Los Angeles. Matthew advises clients throughout the western U.S., and has published numerous articles and given speeches on a variety of legal and tax topics. Matthew practices in the areas of taxation, real estate, and business transactions. Matthew has been named by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s “legal elite”.
